 Hello! 

Like history, we can't really explore philosophy without really knowing, "What really is philosophy?". And that's a really important question - especially since philosophy has many various subtopics, such as Metaphysics, Epistemology, Ethics, Ontology, Logic, Aesthetics, and Political Philosophy.

So let's solve it question by question, 

1. What is Philosophy?

Philosophy is a subject that is considered subjective and is the study of knowledge, reality, existence, and value, as well as more keywords. Philosophy in greek is Philosophia, that is, the Love of Wisdom. So it is also trying to search for wisdom. There's two meanings of philosophy though:

a.Philosophy (the study): The study of knowledge, reality, existence, value, and what is wise or true.

b. Philosophy: A philosophical belief or system of beliefs.

2. Why is it important? 

There are many reasons why it is important, such as:

a. It examines what you believe (or have already believed) and makes it clearer.

b. It improves your analytical or critical thinking.

c. It could make you think in more depth and size and in different perspective.

3. What is Metaphysics?

Metaphysics is a type of philosophy that concerns being, substance, time, space, and reality. What we are and what things are. Philosophers that philosophize about metaphysics are called metaphysicians.

4. What is Epistemology? 

Epistemology is another type of philosophy that concerns knowledge, its acquirement, validity, and its scope. Philosophers that philosophize about epistemology are called epistemologists.

5. What are Ethics?

Ethics is a type of philosophy that concerns what we should do, and moral values and principles. Philosophers that philosophize about ethics are called ethicists.

6. What is Ontology?

Ontology is a type of philosophy concerning existence and what exists and what not. It is a branch of metaphysics.  

7. What is Logic?

Logic is a type of philosophy concerning reasoning and how we can conclude truths from truths we already know. Logicians are people specializing in logic.

8. What is Aesthetics?

Aesthetics is the type of philosophy regarding beauty. Aestheticians specialize in aesthetics.

9. What is Political Philosophy?

Political philosophy concerns and thinks about the philosophy of government and what should it be like. Philosophers specialized in political philosophy are political philosophers.

 Hello! This is the final episode of Ancient Philosophy and the second portion of the Chinese Philosophy series. Today we will cover the Mohist philosophy and the Legalist philosophy. Outside of Confucian and Daoist system of thought, these two were also relevant in the world of Ancient chinese philosophy.  1. Mohism Mozi, or Mo Tzu, is the central philosopher involved in Mohism.
